What ethnicity is Cajun?

Cajun, descendant of Roman Catholic French Canadians whom the British, in the 18th century, drove from the captured French colony of Acadia (now Nova Scotia and adjacent areas) and who settled in the fertile bayou lands of southern Louisiana. The Cajuns today form small, compact, generally self-contained communities.

Is cayenne same as Cajun?

Cayenne pepper is the primary heat source for Cajun spices. Cayenne ranks between 30,000 and 50,000 on the Scoville scale, so it's a medium-hot chili. But there's normally less of cayenne powder in Cajun seasoning than other ingredients, so the mix doesn't normally taste quite that hot.
