Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 burger buns
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon relish
  • Pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika

Method
 

  1. Preheat griddle or large pan over high heat.
  2. Divide beef into 4 balls. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place on griddle and smash flat with spatula or metal bowl.
  4. Cook 1.5 minutes per side until browned.
  5. Place cheese on one patty during last minute to melt.
  6. Mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  7. Toast buns. Assemble with sauce, patties, and toppings.
