Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Salt, to taste

Method

  1. Ensure the shrimp is peeled and deveined, leaving tails on or off according to preference. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to optimize seasoning and browning.
  2. Toss the shrimp in a bowl with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated. Adjust seasoning quantity based on preferred spice level.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and saute for about 30 seconds until fragrant, avoiding burning.
  4. Place seasoned shrimp in the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  5. Introduce butter to the skillet; let it melt and coat the shrimp. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and toss to combine.
  6. Adjust seasoning with a pinch of salt if needed. Garnish Cajun shrimp with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
