French Bread Pizza: Effortless Dinner Recipe

Imagine sinking your teeth into warm, crispy bread, smothered with savory garlic butter, tangy pizza sauce, and gooey melted mozzarella cheese. Top it off with your favorite pizza toppings for a personalized touch that'll leave your taste buds dancing with delight.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 French loaf (baguette)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your favorite pizza toppings (e.g. pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers)
  • 1 stick (½ cup) of butter softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Optional: Dried oregano and crushed red pepper for seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the French loaf in half lengthwise or horizontally.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, garlic powder, and dried Italian seasoning until well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the French loaf.
  5. Spoon pizza sauce onto the buttered cut sides of the French loaf, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza sauce, then add your favorite pizza toppings on top.
  7. If desired, sprinkle dried oregano and crushed red pepper over the toppings for extra flavor.
  8. Place the prepared French loaf on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Slice into smaller pieces and serve warm as a delicious appetizer or snack.
