Ingredients
Cheddar Bay Biscuit:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 stick of cold butter
1 tsp fine salt
1 cup cold buttermilk
1 cup of cheddar cheese
Garlic Butter Wash:
1/2 stick of butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp parsley
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cheddar Bay Biscuit Method:
Start by combining all-purpose flour with granulated sugar, fine salt, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix to combine.
Cut up very cold unsalted butter into ½” evenly sized pieces.
Pour the flour into a food processor, add in the butter, and pulse 4-5 times until tiny lumps form.
Pour the mixture back into the bowl, add the cheese, and mix.
Mix with cold buttermilk.
Bake at 450° F. or 230° C. for 10 - 12 minutes or until fluffy and golden brown.
Brush with garlic butter and eat while still warm.
